Sophie Scholl and Fröbel

After passing this examination [Abitur] (March 1940), I attended the teacher’s college for kindergarten instructors (Fröbel Institute) in Ulm for one year.

In order to have a reasonable occupation come what may, I took the state exam for certification as a kindergarten teacher in Spring 1941. The grade I received on this exam was a “good”, or 2 [“B”].
