Reason for Schüddekopf inquiry
II A-Skdo/Gei. [Special Commission / Geith]
Munich, March 23, 1943
Note.
Regarding: Treasonous case, Scholl Hans et al
The investigation in the above-mentioned matter has shown that Katharina Schüddekopf (single [female] student, born February 8, 1916 in Magdeburg, residing in Munich, Theresien Str. 25/III c/o Popper) was among the circle of friends or acquaintances of Hans Scholl et al, who was condemned to death on February 21 [sic], 1943 for high treason. It was additionally determined that Schüddekopf took part in political discussions within the Scholl circle. Therefore there is a basis for the suspicion that Schüddekopf at least had knowledge of Scholl’s highly treasonous activities, even if she was not a co-conspirator.
Schüddekopf was summoned to an interrogation on March 23, 1943. Until the question of her guilt can be thoroughly clarified, she is taken into temporary police custody.
