I was born on September 16, 1917 in Orenburg / Russia. Regarding the reasons my birthday is also sometimes referred to as September 3, 1917, that has to do with the Russian calendar. [Note 1] At the time of my birth in Russia, my father worked [there] as a medical doctor. I do not know when my parents married.
