Prison warden’s recommendation re Schüddekopf

With 1 clemency petition and 1 expert medical opinion of the prison doctor

To the Chief Prosecutor of the People’s Court, Berlin.

The above are being returned.

The demeanor and diligence of the [Illegible] prisoner Katharina Schüddekopf can be described as proper [Note 1] till now. She is indeed a sickly person, however according to the expert opinion rendered by the prison doctor, there is no reason to grant a clemency petition at this time.

This is indeed the first offense of the prisoner and one can say with a degree of certainty that she will never do anything illegal again. However, in my opinion the nature of her offense demands that she serve the full term of her sentence in the best interests of the public. From our viewpoint, the clemency petition should not be approved.
